Ministries
We believe every member of the body of Christ has a role to play. At South Point, you will find opportunities for every age—from young people to seniors—to grow, serve, and go in the name of Jesus.

We strive to create an environment where children feel God’s love, build a foundation of Bible memory, and leave stronger in faith and character as they graduate from elementary school. Our goal is to raise up future missionaries, church leaders, and faithful followers of Christ. One way we strive toward this is by equipping parents to lead their children spiritually, and encouraging families to serve together. Through all we do, we seek to help children and their parents grow in Christ, serve others, and go into the world for the glory of God. We are currently using curriculum from Truth78 in our classes.
We also have the following events throughout the year:
-Parent Pit Stop Quarterly Roundtables (encouraging and equipping in specific topics related to parenting)
-Parents’ Night Out
-Vacation Bible School/Backyard Bible Clubs
-Promotion Sunday
-Gingerbread Bash Family Christmas Party
-And much more!
*Every volunteer in our children’s ministry is background checked and has received training through our Child Protection Policy.

First Saturday of each month at 8:30am
We desire to equip men to become Christ-like disciples who love God wholeheartedly, lead and serve their families and church sacrificially, and advance the gospel together in everyday life. (cf. Matt 28:18-20; Mark 10:45; 2 Tim 2:2)
Third Saturday of each month at 9:30am
The vision of our Women’s Ministry is to see women equipped and encouraged to grow in their faith, serve the church, and go on mission in their everyday lives.
We desire to equip believers to go to the mission field.
Local: We desire to reach the neighborhoods where families at South Point live, as well as the community around the South Point Church campus.
Regional: We desire to partner with regional missions organizations to reach communities outside of Kentuckiana for Christ. One of these organizations is a gospel centered addiction recovery program in Louisville, where we seek to build relationships with those enrolled and teach Scripture in their program.
Global: We partner with missions organizations, including Cru and Serge Global, as a way of participating in global gospel advancement. We also prayerfully consider ways to serve on short-term mission trips.
The Office of Deacon is a position of servant leadership, and has qualifications for appointment in 1 Timothy 3:8-13 and Acts 6:3. Deacons are also attentive to spot and meet tangible needs, delight in shouldering task specific needs, and create margin for the Elders so they can devote themselves to pastoral responsibilities.
